Three golfers headed for the newly constructed, $160,000 pro shop at the Oakbrook Golf & Country Club in July of 1967, while three other golfers enjoyed relaxing in the sun. The new 18-hole Oakbrook Golf & Country Club had formally opened in April. The pro shop officially celebrated its grand opening on July 23, 1967 with members having access to the exercise and locker rooms, saunas and clubrooms.
