Mrs. Katie Karmatic of the Senior Centers, Inc., registers the leaded glass lamp of Mrs. Elliott Backup on May 27, 1968, as an entry in the two-day Senior Arts & Crafts exhibit. The exhibit, a highlight of "Salute to Senior Citizens Month," was held at Allied Arts, Inc., from May 30-31st. The products of 12 senior clubs and organizations were on display, including hundreds of scuptures, wood carvings, paintings, etchings, crocheted and knitted items, and other arts & crafts items. The event was sponsored by the Council on Aging in cooperation with Senior Centers, Inc. (TNT 5-29-68, p. 4, TNT 5-30-68, A-7)
