Weyerhaeuser Co. executives concluded the three day meeting in 1969 of sales managers from across the country with a banquet believed to have been held at the Winthrop Hotel. Signs promoting the "Big W Home Coming" were prominently displayed throughout the room. Nearly 100 sales managers had gathered to celebrate the solid year of sales from the wood products group.
