Eight African-American young job trainees are taking exams on January 23, 1970, in the offices of the Tacoma-Pierce County Opportunity & Development, Inc., 1138 Commerce St. The anti-poverty agency sponsored practical training for the disadvantaged; one successful student who took the O.D.I. computer training class through its Manpower Resource Center in November of 1969, Barbara Braggs, became a keypunch operator for McKesson-Robbins.
