Designed by noted architect John Graham, Sr., and dedicated on January 31, 1931, the Medical Arts Building was the tallest building in Tacoma when built. It would be purchased by the City of Tacoma in 1977 for use as the city hall and renamed the Tacoma Municipal Building in 1981.
