Scope and content

Many hands make chores go a little faster as these young campers at St. Albans Girl Scouts camp can attest during July of 1970. Six unidentified girls are lined up, busily washing dishes - each with an individual dishpan of soapy water. 250 girls were expected at the Girl Scouts camp that summer. Camp St. Albans, a 414-acre site surrounding Lake Devereaux, is located between Belfair and Allyn. It has been a Girl Scouts camp since 1935. Photograph ordered by the Tacoma-Pierce County Opportunity & Development, Inc. (TNT 7-26-70, A-3)
