Progress report on new United Mutual Savings Bank site. Work continues on the building of the new United Mutual Savings Bank headquarters on 11th St. between Broadway and Commerce. This May 16, 1973, photograph indicates that forms are being laid and ground excavated. Once completed, the bank would be a six-story highrise, rising 110 feet above Commerce St. Mayor Gordon Johnston, bank president Howard Scott and chrm. of the board Russell Harkness were present at the site earlier in May for groundbreaking ceremonies.
