In April of 1973, the Grover Jackson 4 posed for a studio publicity portrait. The country-western group was headed by Grover Jackson (foreground). Mr. Jackson, originally from Tennessee, was a talented musician and had his own television show on Channel 13. Members of the group were, left to right: rhythm guitarist Cole Shelton, drummer Mel Mcloughlin (who also played sax) and bass guitarist J.C. McCormick. This photograph was used in a News Tribune ad on April 27, 1973, when the group was appearing at the Circle Cabaret, 1326 Pacific Ave. Photograph ordered by Grover Jackson.
