1975 Richards color stock footage. Daffodil Festival Queen Wendy Van Noy of Franklin Pierce High School lends a hand in groundbreaking ceremonies for the upcoming $2,000,000 Bicentennial Pavilion. Two other women, dressed in Colonial garb, also do their part in the symbolic shoveling of Market St. sod. A crowd of approximately 200 attended the April 18, 1975, event and were entertained by speeches, bagpipers, the 9th Infantry Division Band from Fort Lewis and Lincoln High School's band.
