On June 17-20, 1936, Tacoma hosted Northwest Firefighters at the first ever Fire College. The highlight for the public was the activities of June 19th. The evening began with an aerial truck drill on Broadway, followed by a parade from Broadway to the Stadium Bowl and a free three hour demonstration of fire fighting techniques.
