Donna Thompson and her champion Irving Playfield ball team, Times, Metcalf. Miss Thompson is behind the batter helping him improve his stance and batting. Donna Mae Thompson, a University of Washington co-ed, coached the Irving Teen-Age fastball club to a city championship. Her knowledge of the game, clever strategy and extreme enthusiasm were the qualities that gained her success and she imparted her wisdom to the boys.
