Scope and content

Interiors of Radio Station KTBI and Radio Station KMO, Edith Leib, Douglas Fir Plywood Association. An interior view of the KMO radio station in Tacoma showing one of the walls. Three curved sections are separated by rough-textured panels. A clock hangs on the wall and a United States flag stands in the corner near a standing microphone. The clock is a Western Union clock that is automatically reset each hour on the hour. It was connected by a broadcast line to the local Western Union office from which the hourly pulse to reset the clock originated. The radio station control room window had a direct view of the clock.
