Scope and content
Nada Van Alstine, Tacoma Times Society Editor, has decided to take flying lessons at Oswald Flying Service. Howard C. Peterson is the Chief Pilot and Flying Instructor at Oswald. Howard had to use six pillows and cushions to help Nada reach the airplane pedals, since she is only four feet and ten inches tall. Nada has really enjoyed her flying lessons (T. Times, 10/13/47, p. 1).
