Hunters from Washington and Oregon traveled to British Columbia, Canada and set out to moose hunt with the help of two guides in November of 1947. The hunters encountered snow and ice on their trip. Left to right view, Jim Smith, Frankie Hansler, Ray Wallace, Don Wallace, Walter Bruckner, Forest Wallace and John Plomondon with their moose head trophies protruding from a white picket fence at Hansler's home (T. Times, 12/15/47, p. 7).
