Scope and content
Tacoma Transit had ordered 85 new buses to accommodate larger numbers of bus riders. The new modern buses would join 35 buses bought in 1941 and 1942, making it a 120 unit fleet. The new buses were either 40 passenger or 34 passenger capacity buses.
