Ordered by Times to tell story of fuel oil shortage, Chuck Carson. Giant fuel oil starage tanks crowd against each other at Standard Oil Company of California yards. These tanks held enough fuel to last Tacoma customers approximately one month. According to the executive vice president of Western Oil and Gas Associates, "There will be no fuel oil shortages in the Pacific Northwest this winter". (T.Times, 2/20/1948, p.7)
