Scope and content

Buildings, churches, schools, and parks made for special edition of Times, studio. Originally built in 1921 as the residence of the J.P. Weyerhaeusers and called "Haddaway Hall", the home was purchased by George C. Franklin in 1936 and the name was changed to "Seamont". In 1941 a proposal arose for Annie Wright Seminary to move to Haddaway Hall but this did not happen. From 1942-1968 the building served as the Tacoma Catholic College and convent. From 1969 until 1972 it was used as a dormitory for University of Puget Sound students called Commencement Bay Campus Dormitory and in 1974 it became the Northwest Baptist Seminary.
