Group of four at Youth Center, Crusade for Children, Mr. Bryant. The United Nations sponsored a Crusade for Children to provide emergency mass feeding of starving, homeless children of war-torn lands by 28 established overseas relief agencies. Tacoma joined the crusade and citizen groups were distributing calorie coupons among the city's clubs, labor unions, P.T.A. groups and churches. The coupons were sold in denominations of $1, $5, and $10 by the organizations to their individual members. One of the committees organizing the fundraiser met at the Tacoma Youth Center.
