St. Joseph's nursing students were considered to be in the "Pre-Clinical" period during the first six months of their program. The first year of studies was spent almost entirely in classrooms and demonstration rooms.The freshmen were required to wear miniature caps, after they successfully completed this period they received full-fledged training caps.
