Harness racing had just started, there would be a total of four racing days, July 10th, 11th, 17th, and 18th, with seven races per day. Washington Harness Track was a half mile track located on Highway 99 (turn right at McCord Field Junction), in South Tacoma. Between 1945 and 1955, more than 100 harness racing tracks were built throughout the United States, it is unknown when Washington Harness Track was built.
