Young men and boys throughout Tacoma entered their model airplanes, hoping to win one of the five Division titles. Speed Jobs, Club Ships, Gas Model Airplanes flying up to 140 miles per hour, A. J. Fireball gas model airplanes and a model jet plane with a 152 miles per hour record, were all entered in the Tacoma Plymouth Aero League contest.
