Scope and content
Mrs. W.W. Seymour (seated, middle left) was surrounded by happy girl scouts gathered at the St. Albans Girl's Camp during August of 1948. In 1934, Mrs. Seymour had generously donated the 450 acres, encompassing Lake Devereaux, in Mason County, on which the camp was built, in memory of her husband. St. Albans was the third camp donated by the Seymour family. The others were Camp Seymour (the Y.M.C.A. camp on Glen Cove) and the boy scout camp on Hood Canal. (T.N.T., 8/15/48, p. D-1).
