Demonstration of X-Pyro Fire Resistant at fire station, Paul Thaler Painting Contractor, George Beckingham. A blow torch scorches but causes no flame at a demonstration of X-Pyro products at Fire Station No. 5. It was a public demonstration staged by Paul Thaler, a painting contractor, who has the exclusive Tacoma sales agency for the X-Pyro products for fireproofing fabrics and building materials. The X-Pyro line had four major items: X-Pyro Stop Flame - for fabrics; X-Pyro Stop Flame #7 - for wood and wood products; X-Pyro Flame #9 - for roof and shingle products; and Hi-Heat Paint for interiors. The X-Pyro line of products was manufactured by Scientific Products Corp., in Los Angeles. (T.Times, 8/30/1948, p.5)
