California Governor Earl Warren, Republican Vice-Presidential candidate and future Supreme Court Chief Justice, speaks from the podium during rally at Tacoma Armory. Large poster of Gov. Thomas Dewey, the Presidential nominee, behind Warren. Former Governor Arthur Langlie, who was running once more for election, and his wife are seen, blurred, in the background. Mr. Langlie had introduced Governor Warren to the overflowing crowd of over 5000. It was the largest indoor crowd to greet him on his tour of 31 states except for Chicago.
