Scope and content
Children gathered at Hoodlum Lake in Franklin Park at So. 12th St. and So. Puget Sound to skate, slide and have fun on the frozen lake as temperatures in Tacoma dropped into the low 20s and high teens in late December 1948. This group of young boys was moving too fast to get every name, but it includes: Jerry Jelle, Kippy Coy, Richard Church, Jimmy Sibley, Donald Gunnell, Lloyd Tribub, Bob Phifer and Gary Hartloff (T. Times, 1/6/49, p. 1) TPL-5464
