Police and Fire Department communication system. Times, Earl Floathe. A view of headquarters of the new, up-to-date communication system for the Tacoma Police and Fire Department. A transmitter was also located at the intersection of 28th Street and 63rd Avenue NE in northeast Tacoma. The system was second to none in the United States.
