Scope and content
In this creative photographic print from 1949 a photographer from the Richards Studio in Tacoma attempted to capture in one image the flow and grace of Nancy Jane Bare, a well known dance instuctor in Tacoma, as she executed a leap within a solo dance. Miss Bare performed a solo dance recital in Keator Hall at Annie Wright Seminary on May 17, 1949; the school's Mother's Club was sponsoring the performance, which was open to the public. Nancy Bare had been on the school's faculty for five years. (T.N.T., 5/15/49, p. D-11). TPL-9815
