Man apparently drowned on 15th Street Dock, Studio spec. Police officers worked more than one hour in an attempt to revive an unidentified drowning victim June 9, 1949. The man apparently fell or leaped into the City Waterway from the bridge near South 15th and Dock Streets. The man was dragged from the water by Joe Parrent, an employee of a firm located near the dock. L-R, Russell Richardson, Glenn Nyland, Harry Fleming, Wilson Miller, Dick Davidson and Richard Mace. All except Deputy Coroner Volk were Tacoma Police Officers. (TNT, 6/10/1949, p.23)
