1949 studio portrait of Vince Cadiente as a young man. Born in 1932, Mr. Cadiente was stationed at Fort Lewis as a part of the HQT Company, 23rd Infantry. He later specialized in Western stunts and in the 1960s was the president of the Screen Extras Guild and more recently, president of the Riders, an organization of professional stunt cowboys. Mr. Cadiente's screen credits included appearances in the Green Berets, Blazing Saddles, and the Great Train Robbery. He also worked in several television series including Bonanza, Gilligan's Island and Star Trek. Mr. Cadiente passed away on February 9, 1996, at age 63.
