Tank being set in place by Sunnen Crane at new Purex Corp., Sunnen Auto Freight. Workmen are using a portable crane on the back of a Sunnen truck to move a storage tank into its upright position at this newly constructed facility for Purex Corp. The bleach plant was being completed on five acres of property at Lincoln Avenue and Thorne Road on the Tacoma tideflats, part of the 250 acres being converted into industrial area by the Port of Tacoma known as the "Quadrangle". Built of reinforced concrete, the new facility provided 22,600 square feet of floor space. The plant was expected to be in operatin the end of February 1950.
