Ted Knightlinger, center, tells a group of young misses about the plans for the annual Elks Father and Daughter party to be held on February 17, 1950 at the Elks Temple, 565 Broadway. Mr. Knightlinger was chairman for the event where members of the Tacoma lodge hosted their daughters to a gala party and show, and presented them with corsages as favors. The Father - Daughter party was traditionally held in February, with a Valentine's Day theme.The girls listed left to right are Janet Walters, Kathryn Roberts, Karin Anderson, Julie Ann Wynans, Joan Knightlinger, Deanne Duncan and Gretchen Roberts.
