Six members of the "Squadinette" committee review charts using navigational tools. The Squadronettes were the newly formed women's auxilliary of the Tacoma branch of the United States Power Squadron. Their goal was to make women better sailors. They are, L-R, Juanita L. (Mrs. Stanley) Steffens, Mrs. Jack Bennett, Mrs. Wendell Emery, Mrs. Homer Williams, Alice C. (Mrs. Howard) Trefry and Mrs. Jack Ritz. A painting of a harbor hangs on the wall behind the women. (TNT, 5/10/1950, p.13)
