Scope and content
Young families, like the Kipp family, are attracted to Tacoma's North end and its abundance of homes built by early craftsmen. Dwight "Pinky" Kipp, wife Grace, and 3-year-old son Jeffrey Bruce are painting the interior of the house they have recently purchased at 4001 No. 35th Street. Extensive woodwork and leaded glass windows are features of the home which was built in 1915-16 for Albert H. and Clara F. Schafer. (TNT, 5/5/1950, p.C-4)
