Reno Odlin holds onto Sandy Custis, son of Neal and Nancy Heston, as he and Margaret Marshall of Seattle ring the bell of a replica of the original Liberty Bell to officially open the 1950 Independence Savings Bond Drive. Reno Odlin was state chairman of the savings bond division. Margaret Marshall was a descendant of Chief Justice John J. Marshall at whose funeral procession the original Liberty Bell cracked in 1835.
