Five fans wait excitedly for an autograph from entertainer Vaughn Monroe who visited the Tacoma area in May 1950. The popular band leader and singer was best known for the tune "Racing With the Moon". His robust baritone signing voice was known as "the voice with hair on its chest". Monroe died in 1973. Dorothy Rooney (Whipple) is second from left, other fans are unidentified. TPL-6409
