Six children have their eyes glued to the television screen in this September, 1950, photograph. Televisions were becoming more and more popular and articles were even being written about the correct room placement when a TV is added. Don Sund is shown adjusting a console combination model while (l-r) Sisty Bond, Linda Erickson, Bunny Bond, unidentified boy, and Mary Lou Sund wait patiently. Local stores were offering similar styles for sale from $340 and up. By 1950 rectangular shaped screens were rapidly replacing rounded screen models like the one shown here.
