Progress photographs of new sewage disposal plant located near 21st St. between Cleveland Avenue and the Puyallup River Levee. The contract was granted to Hoagland-Findley Engineering Company of Seattle and San Francisco based on their low bid of $1,326,920. Two phases of construction were eliminated until a later date: one was a primary sedimentation tank and the other was a secondary digesting tank. Eight different duildings were planned for the site housing chlorine and heating equipment, grit removal equipment, sludge pumps, a 14 million gallon sedimentation tank, filters, conveyors, digestion tanks and other equipment.
