Scope and content
In October of 1951 Dr. Norman E. Magnussen and his family were surrounded by hunting and camping gear as he prepared for a two week trip to British Columbia with several other hunters. His son Ronny, age 11, tried on some of his dad's heavy outdoor clothing while his son Larry, age 13, inspected one of Dr. Magnussen's rifles. Mrs. Evelyn G. Magnussen watched while her husband checked his 8mm movie camera. Provisions included a large Hershey's chocolate bar along with cans of corned beef and pork and beans. Both a saddle and saddle bags and a large gasoline can were also included. Ordered by the Tribune. (TNT, 10/7/1951, p[.D-1) TPL-9184
