Scope and content

Hopper Kelly Company opened their new music studio where they sold musical instruments and accessories as well as household appliances, heating apparatus, radios and television sets. They also handled conditioning and repairing old instruments and provided instruction in all brass, reed and string instruments. The company had been serving Tacoma since 1917. They advertise Baldwin Pianos on the front of the building at the right and on a sign that covers the downspout between the two buildings. John C. Chapman was manager of the stores in 1953.
