Scope and content
Pouring concrete for the second floor at the new police communications building, also called the radio communications building and City Radio Building. When the new building is completed the fire-alarm system will occupy the whole of the existing building (on the right) and all police calls would be handled through the new structure. The fire department would have its own frequency in 1953. Ordered by Douglas Fir Plywood Association; photograph taken on October 31, 1952. (TNT, 10/12/1952, p.C-14)
