In June of 1938 four Tacoma girls who were part of the "sub-deb" set were photographed on the lawn of the Tacoma Country and Golf Club, 13204 Gravelly Lake Drive S.W., as they gathered for a busy day of summer sports. Holding her sunglasses and tennis racket is Catharine Snyder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frost Snyder. The three young ladies on bicycles are: (l to r) Hazel Schaeffer, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. R.C. Schaeffer, and Suzanne and Marian Ingram, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ingram. (T. Times 7/2/1938, pg. 9)
