Dancer Martha Graham from photographer Turner Richards' 1938 stock file. The famous dancer appeared at Jason Lee Auditorium at the invitation of the Tacoma Junior League on April 1, 1937. She and her modern dance troupe of 12 were met with enthusiasm by local residents. Proceeds from Miss Graham's appearance went to the Junior League's Well Baby Clinic project at the county hospital.
