On December 2, 1939, the Lakeside Club hosted a costumed Harvest Dance and buffet supper at their clubhouse near American Lake. Decorations included this old well where a guest takes a refreshing drink. Members dressed in clothing of a bygone era which fit in well with the corn cobs, hay, lanterns, and live baby chicks as decor. Identified in the above picture are Captain H.E. Liebe (left, holding jug), Mrs. H.T. Hamilton (drinking from tin cup), Lt. Hamilton by her side, and Mrs. H.E. Liebe at far right.
