This is the recently completed million-gallon reservoir that will provide water for the state institution for handicapped and mentally ill children. New construction at the large school complex in the valley included two new dormitories, a combined school building with auditorium, homes for the resident doctor and chief engineer and new dairy barns. There were more than 200 children enrolled at the state custodial school located one mile east of Buckley. For Harold Shaw. (T.Times 4-23-1940, p. 16)
