ca. 1936. Edgar T. Short, feature writer and columnist for the Tacoma Times. Mr. Short was born in London, Ontario and came to Tacoma in 1904 where he became the first City Editor of the Tacoma Times. In 1917, he moved to Seattle and worked on the Seattle Times where he specialized in agricultural news. He returned to the Tacoma Times in 1933, where he is best remembered for his column "After Many Years," a nostalgic view of the past in the Northwest. He took a year long leave of absence in 1945 and returned to work for the paper part time until it ceased publication in 1949. He died at the age of 84 in 1955. (TNT 2/27/1955)
