Puyallup Tribal members try to stop Wildlife agents from confiscating fish. Ralph Larson director of the state Game department had restricted all fishing starting on December 5th. Benjamin Harris III was sentenced to death in 1984 for the shooting of Tacoma auto mechanic Jimmy Lee Turner. Harris was exonerated in 1997 and became the first death-row inmate released from prison in Washington state since the state reinstated the death penalty in 1981.

Puyallup Tribal members blocked all entrances to the Cascadia Juvenile Diagnostic Center in protest of a U.S. Supreme court ruling allowing for all cigarettes sold on reservation smoke shops to be taxed by the state and to force the state to pay rent for use of the facility.

The documentary by Ken Levine and Ivory Waterworth Levine follows Hang Sou and his family from a refugee camp in northern Thailand to their new home in Seattle, WA.
