Benjamin Harris III was sentenced to death in 1984 for the shooting of Tacoma auto mechanic Jimmy Lee Turner. Harris was exonerated in 1997 and became the first death-row inmate released from prison in Washington state since the state reinstated the death penalty in 1981.

The documentary by Ken Levine and Ivory Waterworth Levine follows Hang Sou and his family from a refugee camp in northern Thailand to their new home in Seattle, WA.
