Rosemary Tollefson and Ardeis Harold Myers, Jr. held their wedding reception at the Tacoma Lawn Tennis Club. The bride and groom are ready to cut their wedding cake. The large cake, in the shape of a cross, is made up of square cakes with four on each side of the central, highest tier of cakes. Flowers decorate the base of the cake and bride and groom figurines under a bell decorate the top. A gladiola bouquet is next to the cake table. The bride's satin dress shimmers in the light; her curved neckline is decorated with lace. Lace appliques have been added to her veil. Rosemary's bridal bouquet is seen on the table next to the cake. 600 guests were invited to the wedding, making it one of Tacoma's largest of the season. (TNT 8-21-49, D-1)

Myers, Jr. The younger Myers is a student at the University of Missouri in Columbia and his new wife a graduate of Stephens College. Congressman Thor Tollefson with his daughter Rosemary on the occasion of her marriage to Ardeis H. Myers, Jr., of Kansas City, MO, at Tacoma's Central Lutheran Church. They are seen here during the reception held at the Tacoma Lawn Tennis Club. It was one of the largest weddings of the season which saw 600 guests in attendance at the double-ring candlelit ceremony. The bride had ten attendants, all dressed alike in Empire-styled models of chartreuse velvet. She wore an ivory satin gown with fitted bodice and stand-up collar, accessorized by orange blossoms in her silk illusion fingertip veil. The new Mrs. Myers was a graduate of Stadium High School and Stephens College in Columbia, MO. Helen Ruth Lydia Ramstad and Orville Eldon Kyllo were married August 20, 1949, by Miss Ranstad's father, Rev. A.W. Ramstad. The bride and groom stand by their wedding cake ready to cut the first piece. The cake has three circular layers in the center with four square cakes evenly spaced around it. Four tall, tapered candles are spaced decoratively around the cake; which has bride and groom figurines on top. The reception took place at the church parlors. The bride wore her mother's veil. Phyllis carried her paternal grandmother's handkerchief and wore the engagement ring of gold-set moonstones belonging to her maternal grandmother. Her gown was of white moire with a petal shaped collar and cuffs, both trimed in seed pearls and bugle beads. The full skirt swept into a train. Her veil was edged in lace, cascading from a petaled headpiece. She carried a bouquet of white rosebuds and stephanotis circled with pink rosebuds. Candles and flowers stand to either side of her. Marian Andahl - Arnold Slater wedding. Marian Josephine Andahl and Arnold Clyde Slater were married in front of 400 guests on August 14, 1948. These are believed to be the bride's attendants at the altar of Our Savior's Lutheran Church featuring the maid of honor, four bridesmaids, flower girl and candlelighters. Maid of honor Grace Cuthbert wore a gown of pale blue taffeta and carried delphiniums in crescent shape. Bridesmaids Edna Andahl, Pat Johnson, Lois Buck and Louise Sylstad were in dusty rose taffeta gowns and carried bouquets of rubrum lilies. Candlelighters, in yellow taffeta, were Delores Burns and Mrs. Andres Holt, Jr. Dressed in blue taffeta was Linda Peterson, flower girl. Marian Slater was a graduate of Stadium High School while her new husband Arnold graduated from Lincoln High School and was a Washington State College student at the time of their wedding.
