The Daughters of Pioneers of Washington were holding their convention at the Winthrop Hotel in May of 1948. Margaret Smith (left) and Mrs. T. A. Lund were the hostesses. Margaret is wearing a wedding gown worn by her mother and later worn for her own wedding. The gown is made of white wool challis with lace inserts.
