Irwin-Jones Motor Company, a Nalley's Potato Chip delivery truck. The Dodge truck has the name, "Ray Beeber Food Sales, Klamath Falls, Oregon", on the side of the door. The covered back end of the truck has painted signs for "Nalley's" and "Nalley's fresh Potato Chips, Fresh-Crisp-Delicious".

Allen Motor Company, Studebaker dealership. An Open House was held at the new Allen Motor Company Building at 6004 So. Tacoma Way exhibiting the new 1947 Studebaker passenger car and used car premises. The new building was built for $80,000, and was 130 feet by 100 feet. It had a service entrance on South 60th Street as well as an exit onto South Tacoma Way. Allen Motors was an old and established firm in Tacoma. J.K. Gordon was president at this time, James M.H. Gilchrist was vice president and general manager. 7" x 11" format. (T.Times, 10/2/1946, p.2)

Robert Sconce Advertising, Ray Ridge Motors. In this October 11, 1946, photograph, Ray Ridge, just to the right of the engine, is holding a part while the other men look on and listen to an explanation about the part. Ray Ridge was the newly appointed Lincoln and Mercury dealer for the area. These men are shown in the service department of Ray Ridge Motors at 124 Tacoma Avenue South.

Old time truck for contest, South Tacoma Motors, Ted Hoakinson. Three men stand with an old Chevrolet truck. The cab is very tall and has a curved hood. The wheels are spoked and the tires are worn flat. One of the men has white hair and points lovingly at the hood over the engine. When the South Tacoma Motor Company at 5602 South Tacoma Way ran a contest for old time trucks in June of 1947, this Chevrolet was probably the winner. An unidentified man, hat in hand, stands next to a 1919 Chevrolet Platform Stake. Chevrolet made their first trucks in 1918. They had only manufactured 8,179 trucks by the end of 1919. In June of 1947 George Cramer (first man from rt), a logger from Morton, WA, won a brand new 1947 1/2 Frazer Manhattan Sedan after his name was entered into a drawing by his brother. The car was the top prize awarded at the Izaak Walton League picnic held at Point Defiance on June 15th. Standing next to Mr. Cramer is his thrilled wife. Members of the Tacoma Chapter of the Izaak Walton League stand at the back as well as handing over the car to the Cramers are: (l to r) Woody Wilson; Harry Smith; Walter Witte, league secretary; Orville Winston; Dean Sheeler; Erling Bergerson, league president; and Barbara Walentiny, daughter of a Walton member.
