Bridal portrait. The chapel at Charles Wright Academy was the site of the Teckla Ann Slikas-Graham Morley Hicks nuptials on May 19, 1973. The recent Willamette graduates were married in a double-ring ceremony by Rev. James W. Bertolin. The bride, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. John Slikas of Tacoma, was dressed in a silk jersey and wore a small cap with a cluster of fresh flowers. She carried a bouquet of roses, stephanotis and lily-of-the-valley. The groom is the son of Judge and Mrs. Loren D. Hicks of Salem, Oregon. The newlyweds will live in Portland where the groom is an attorney. (TNT 5-27-73, B-4)

Johnson-Wolf wedding. University of Wisconsin graduate students Cyntheia Yvonne Johnson and Richard Allen Wolf were married at St. Leo's Catholic Church on August 21, 1971. Pictured above is the bride, in her delicate organza gown trimmed with jeweled alecon lace including a cathedral length mantilla. With her is believed to be her mother, Mrs. Douglas Cato. The new Mrs. Wolf is also the daughter of Collie Johnson of Vietnam. She had graduated from Aquinas Academy and Marquette University. Strickland-Taylor wedding. Formal portrait of Mamie Elizabeth Strickland on her wedding day of October 23, 1965. She wed Rev. Richard Edward Taylor at the Allen A.M.E. Church, 1411 Yakima Ave. So. According to engagement information published in the April 18, 1965, News Tribune, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grady A. Strickland. Rev. Taylor was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie P. The bride has on a lovely Chantilly lace and satin gown with a French imported fingertip tulle veil. The groom is wearing a white tuxedo with colorful cummerbund and carnation boutonniere. Valerie Joyce McDowell and Milton Dean Haugen were married on March 22, 1958, at the Central Lutheran Church. The new couple will be making their home in South Tacoma.
